Digital Earth: Education and Capacity Building

The radical scientific and technological novelty of the Digital Earth and the comprehensiveness of the geospatial revolution require widespread education in the field of the Digital Earth and a wide range of applications. Availability of specialists and mass training in working with geospatial data in the context of the Digital Earth is the key to the successful implementation of modern management practices in the common interests of all mankind.
The following issues will be considered at the section:

• Digital Earth education in schools and universities;
• international coordination of educational programs;
• harmonisation of social intiatives;
